The Final Movie

The Final is the very first feature film for Vincent. A resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he currently attends the University of North Texas.  As one who works to hone his craft, he hopes his efforts will pay off in the near future.

What is your take on “The Final?”
“The Final” is about the tensions between the archetypal “cool kids” and the “outcasts” in a high school setting.  But that is the surface issue. This group of outcasts is subject to verbal and physical torment by the popular crowd on a daily basis and, seemingly, for no reason.   This scenario forms the backdrop for the whole movie. “The Final” represents the culmination of what can happen when one’s psychological or physiological tipping point coincides with realization of repressed (or professed) wishes and desires.  The result is of a deadly intent.

How was your overall experience of making the film?
Early call times, stuck-up crew, and annoying people everywhere. No, just kidding!  I thoroughly enjoyed working on the film no matter how early it was.  I was so excited about working on the project, I broke the wall in the set bathroom one morning (during a scene).  On a serious note, I enjoyed working with the all the people who made the movie possible.  Won’t name names ‘cause I’ll leave someone out.  A+ for cast and crew.

What was it like working with the Producer?
Jason, that guy is a handful.  I heard he’s so tough, he drinks mercury for breakfast.  The producer is a real entertainer; he told some interesting stories and kept me on my toes.  Although I had to wear a clown suit for a week or so (because of Jason), I think I’m mentally tougher than before.  Jason, thanks for making a man out of me.
